In this colorful MUTTS strip, Earl spies Mooch with a small brown kitten and asks, “Who’s that, Mooch?” He responds, “That’s Lily, my foster kitty.” Confused, Earl asks, “Your what?”
Mooch explains, “You go to your local shelter and before a pet gets adopted you can pride him or her temporary care in a loving home environment.” Earl asks, “And how do you do that?”
Mooch describes, “You treat them nice — play with them, eat with them, nap with them, be buddies!!!” Perplexed, Earl says, “That sounds exactly like what you do with me!” Mooch replies simply, “Yesh. You were my first ‘foster failure.'”
